Pre-Kindergarten Summer Session
Thank you for your interest in our Pre-K summer session. We are looking forward to a wonderful summer filled with lots of great activities! The hours of operation will be 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
Age Requirements
- Students must be at least two years old.
- Students entering Kindergarten for first time are eligible.
Summer Hours
Summer sessions begin each day at 7:30 a.m.
- Parents must sign in each student daily.
- Summer sessions are held in the Pre-K building.
- We will only use the main entrance by the playground.
- Parents are not permitted in the building.
Morning Snack
A healthy morning snack will be provided for all students.
Lunch
All students are asked to bring a packed lunch labeled with the child’s name. We follow The Child and Adult Care Food Program, WV Leap of Taste, which requires the following: milk, protein, two vegetables or fruits, and breads or enriched whole grains.
Afternoon Snack
If your child(ren) stays after 2 p.m., please send in an afternoon snack.
Rest/Quiet Time
There will be rest/quiet time daily from approximately 12:30 to 2 p.m.
Pickup
Parents are more than welcome to pick up their children at any point throughout the day. If you are wishing to pick up during our designated quiet time, please let us know during drop-off. Parents who arrive after 5 p.m. will be charged $10 per 5-minute increment, as stated in our Student/Parent Handbook.
Payments/Fees
Summer-care tuition will be billed through FACTS. The cost is $40 a day. If a family needs immediate care for a day not previously scheduled, 24 hours notice is required. The fee for this service is $60 a day.
